- In Hickory, Catawba Valley Behavioral Health, an agency that provides mental health services to over 5,000 individuals, screened MINDS ON THE EDGE at a series of fundraising dinners and also featured the program at their open house for local civic groups and citizenry.
- NAMI-FOUR SEASONS presented MINDS ON THE EDGE at the Kaplan Library on October 8, 2009 at 6:00 pm. The library also posted a flyer during Mental Illness Awareness Week.
- In Hendersonville, Pardee Educational Center had a screening with patients in November 2009 followed by a stimulating discussion. Viewers were impressed with the panel and their insights into the mental health problems in the United States. It will be shown again to other groups at the Center in 2010.
- NAMI-PITT COUNTY hosted a "Popcorn, Coke and DVD" night, Tuesday, January 11, 2010, at Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church, featuring MINDS ON THE EDGE. http://www.reflector.com/news/jan-6-community-news-19505. Bonnie Currie, a NAMI NC board member and coordinator for Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, also plans to use it for her work with the Pitt County Sherriff's Office.
